Botox Wirral

If you live on the Wirral and are looking for a reputable botox practitioner near you, we at BU Aesthetics™ can help you.

Botox is a great way to reduce the appearance of facial lines and facial wrinkles to allow for a more youthful, smoother appearance. Botox can be used to treat many different areas including the glabella, crow’s feet, a gummy smile, frown lines and much more.

What Are the Benefits of Botox?

There are many reasons why people choose to get Botox injections, whether it be to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve the appearance of bunny lines and crow’s feet, help with migraines or fix a gummy smile. Some people also choose Botox to help with bruxism (also known as teeth grinding).

As you can see, botox has many benefits and can be used for many different concerns, ranging from pain to aesthetics.

Is Botox Safe?

Botox in itself is safe when administered correctly and by a professional. The effects of this treatment are temporary, which means that muscle activity will slowly return to the treated area after several months.

There can be some side effects to botox, such as bruising and redness at the injection sites, however, there is no need to worry as this will resolve quickly. Some patients experience headaches within the first 24-72 hours after their treatment.

If you suffer from headaches after Botox, over-the-counter pain medication can be used to reduce any discomfort.

Although rare, there can be some complications from anti-wrinkle treatments, such as droopy eyes and a droopy eyelid or eyebrow. This is known as ptosis and can occur when the botox is placed incorrectly or too close to the eyebrow.

Difficulty speaking, sucking on a straw or chewing can also be potential complications following treatment in the jaw area. However, these complications will resolve as the Botulinum toxin wears off over time.

How Long Does Botox Last?

This can vary from person to person, however, for most people, botox typically lasts up to 3-4 months, which is why we recommend a top-up every 4 months or so.

This would be a waste of money if you were to book for Botox again before the 3-4 month mark as the muscle receptors are still blocked, which means that the Botox is still working.

Not only this, but you also risk causing muscle atrophy, which is the weakening of the muscles due to lack of use. This is why you should allow your facial muscles to regain some strength before getting more Botox to ensure your muscles remain healthy.

Does Botox Hurt?

Everyone is different, which means that some people may find that Botox is uncomfortable, whereas others may not feel any pain at all.

The needles we use for Botox are very fine and short, which is why many people don’t feel the injection. There is no topical anaesthetic or numbing cream required for this treatment.

If you are someone who feels nervous around needles or you have trypanophobia (a fear of needles), there is no need to worry as we are here to help.

It is our top priority to make sure that you feel comfortable and calm at all times. We offer all of our clients an initial consultation to discuss your concerns and the results you desire. You can rest assured that we are here to help and support you through the process- beginning to end.

So, if you live in or around the Wirral and are looking for a reputable aesthetic practitioner near you, we at BU Aesthetics™ are here to help.

Is Botox Right for me?

Whether or not Botox is right for you depends on a range of different things. For example, those who have diabetes will have to book in for a consultation before they go ahead with Botox. This is because people with diabetes have a higher risk of developing an infection at injection sites.

This is why it is important that you let your practitioner know of any medical problems they need to be aware of before your treatment.

Another thing to consider is the cost and maintenance associated with anti-wrinkle injections. For example, Botox treatments are required every 4 months to maintain results.

If you are located on the Wirral and are interested in receiving Botox, you are in the right place. Here at BU Aesthetics™, we offer a wide range of treatments including Botox.
